Resolute White Papers

STURGIS selected for Sawyer
Sep 11, 2018 by dgv

A major remodel of a restaurant space in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood is the result of a successful collaboration between chef Mitch Mayers, one of Zagat’s 2018 “Eight Under the Radar Chefs to Know in Seattle,” and Graham Baba Architects.

The restaurant’s name, Sawyer, alludes to the building’s history as a sawmill.  Built in the 1920s, the building features exposed beams and floor to ceiling windows.

Graham Baba turned to RESOLUTE to solve the booth lighting challenge.  Eight custom fabricated steel cranes allow STURGIS pendants to hover over tables.   The STURGIS shades are 10″ tall and are suspended by olive cloth covered cord.  Shades and cranes have an oil rubbed bronze powder coat finish.
