We are pleased to introduce four exciting new CARNEGIE XOREL fabrics to our stock collection of  SOLUTIONS FABRIC shade options for our PROSPERITY, SMITH and SAVOYE fixture families, for a total of ten colorways.  Meteor 6427-708, -720 and -721 are new offerings from CARNEGIE that coincide nicely with customer requests; Dash 6603-9 takes our neutral palette in a new direction.

Dash 6603-9 is a more translucent, airy, natural linen-like fabric that expands on our neutral range with a nuanced green tea effect when lit.

Meteor 6427-708 introduces an elegant, sophisticated, flattering warm birch tone.

Meteor 6427-720 is already proving to be a very popular yellow tan with mid-range translucency.

Meteor 6427-721 rounds out the new selections with a rich wood veneer feel, useful where an intense color statement is important.

All four new fabric options offer the same outstanding performance properties as our original XOREL selections:  the durability, colorfastness and ease of cleaning inherent in a woven polyethylene textile; low energy requirement to manufacture, no chlorine, heavy metals or plasticizers are added; anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-staph and resistant to bacterial strikethrough; MBDC Cradle-to-Cradle certified Silver.

These four new fabrics are available immediately.

A corridor installation of PROSPERITY wall sconces shows to advantage its gently rounded contours.  Wall box and trims are stainless steel, the shade is covered in XOREL from Carnegie Fabrics.  The fixture is fully enclosed with soft frosted acrylic top and bottom.

PROSPERITY sconces are available as D1 rectangle, D2 square, and D3 keystone; D1 and D2 are ADA compliant. D1 and D2 fixtures are available with smart-dimming capabilities.

The PROSPERITY family also includes floor, table, and ceiling hung fixtures.  All PROSPERITY fixtures offer the options of electronic fluorescent technology and Lutron 3-wire, digital, addressable ballasts for incorporation into smart-building energy/lighting management system.

RESOLUTE has paired XOREL from Carnegie Fabrics

with its Prosperity, Smith and Savoye families. XOREL is a highly durable woven polyethelene textile ideal for use in hospitals, medical offices, hotels, and other demanding public areas. It is inherently anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-staph; it is water repellant and stain resistant. Technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable, XOREL requires low energy to manufacture and contains no chlorine, plasticizers or heavy metals.

XOREL is MBDC Cradle-to-Cradle certified Silver.

Design: EHS Design

SAVOYE pendants in custom XOREL. 60″ diameter x 18″ high in Meteor 6647-750. The purple is the school color.  36″ diameter x 18″ high in Quarry 6619-92. Both sizes 4x 42W CFL.

The scheme incorporates double layer side diffusion and offers 100% bottom closure. Top closure is optional. The design has been optimized for effective, flattering fluorescent illumination. Dimming is fully supported.

The SAVOYE system has been designed to offer complete flexibility in drums and cylinders ranging from 32″ to 60″ diameter. Size and proportion are the designer’s choice. Shade ht. is only limited by materials constraints so anywhere from 9″ to 94″ high.

Shade material choices include a vast selection of resin panels from Knoll, 3form and Lumicor or high impact co-polymer covered with any of Carnegie’s extensive XOREL fabric collection. Savoye offers flexible finish options on the metal structure.

The resulting product is supremely durable.

This Custom Beam Pendant illustrates our capability to create variations of our regular products to fit specific project needs. In this case the custom product is a variation on BOX 3.

Fully enclosed shade consists of an opal white acrylic inner diffusion box and a Lumicor Pearl Milan outer screen. 32W linear fluorescent lamp with electronic ballast. Satin clear anodized and dull silver hardware. Lamp chassis/ reflector is gloss white. Suspended by stainless steel aircraft cables. Fixture is 50.5″ x 8.55″ x 8.5″ high.

Resolute helped solve a difficult lighting problem. The space was well lit by natural light in summer but too dark in winter. A challenging acoustic ceiling tile system complicated addressing the issue. High output electronic dimming fluorescent fixtures were employed in conjunction with sophisticated controls. Diffusion was carefully considered for maximum light output balanced against producing too much glare.

In the very high main space, Smith 28 pendants with 4x 36W CFL lamps were modified to hang from special “X” support frames. Shades covered in Xorel Flash Back 6615-F20. Smith 23 pendants were used along the perimeter windows to balance lost light on overcast days. These pendants used special lower diffusion disks to get more light down. Custom Smith 17-5 ceiling fixtures were developed to be used in very dark, low ceiling areas – a challenging situation! The fixtures are shallow and as with the Smith 28′s, are lamped with dimming high output lamps (2x 42W). Shades 17″ diameter x 5″ high. The Smith 17 shown below (lower right) is similar to the design used on this project but in a different fabric and with low output illumination.
